This document is a Dutch Curaçao/Suriname transit visa (No. 987) issued in Kaunas on 24 July 1940, later endorsed with a Japanese transit visa stamped by Chiune Sugihara, Japanese Consul in Kaunas, permitting travel through Japan to the Dutch colonies. No holder's name is visible on this scanned page, and Japanese and Soviet entry stamps also appear, indicating the visa was used to travel via the USSR and Japan.
