  The American consulate's file on Curaçao visas at Shanghai holds a consular data sheet of 7 February 1949 on Salomon Schlosser: born at Peczeniżyn on 19 October 1894, Polish, 'arrived Shanghai August 1941', living in Hongkew; with it a letter of 1 February 1949 from the Joint's Far Eastern Office about his onward journey. The register writes the name Szlosser, the Polish spelling of the same name. The given name agrees, he is the only Szlosser on the register, and an arrival at Shanghai in August 1941 is the move from Kobe that the people of this register made.
