Where this comes from
New York passenger arrival cards, SS Argentina from Santos, admitted 17 September 1962: Teodor Jakobson and Lubow L. Jakobson of São Paulo (NARA; FamilySearch copies sent by David Rosen, 14 October 2026) A possible match, not yet confirmed: a Teodor Jakobson, born 17 November 1906 at Warsaw, an Israeli citizen living at Alameda Santos 364, São Paulo, landed at New York from Santos on the SS Argentina on 17 September 1962 with his wife Lubow, bound for the Hotel Windermere on West End Avenue. The register has no age for this line and no record of where the couple went after Kaunas, so the name and the Warsaw birth are all that can be tested; a Polish Jew of his years settled in Brazil fits the road several of the register's people took, but no record yet places him on it.
