  Gerszon Morder of the register is the Gerson Marder — a hand added the form 'Gerszon' beside the typed name — who sailed from Yokohama on the Asama Maru on 4 October 1940 and landed at San Francisco on the 19th, going on to Los Angeles: a tailor aged 31, born at Skoryki, last resident at Kaunas, with a United States visa issued at Tokyo on the day he sailed; the sheet names his aunt Rose Seckel in Kaunas and his wife Sarah in Brooklyn. The register gives no age for this line and spells the surname Morder; the given name in the register's own form, the Kaunas residence and the sailing from Japan two months after the visa make the match (David Rosen, from the National Archives' San Francisco passenger lists). His draft registration in Brooklyn on 1 July 1941 gives his birth as 3 July 1909 at Skoryki, Poland, and his wife as Sarah Marder.
