The Heiyo Maru, Yokohama 15 February 1941 to Valparaíso 5 March 1941 — the passenger list, in FamilySearch's index of Chilean arrival records (collection 1916084); found by David Rosen, 6 October 2026 Lejzor Berenbaum sailed from Yokohama on the Heiyo Maru on 15 February 1941 with his wife Roza and their child of three, reached Valparaíso on 5 March 1941, and was bound on to Buenos Aires — found by David Rosen in the index of the Chilean arrival records. The register's family for this line is a wife Roza and a child of three, and the voyage from Japan in early 1941 fits the visa of July 1940; the compilers had recorded Australia as the intended destination. The Los Angeles passenger lists also index the Berenbaums arriving in 1941, as the page records above: the Heiyo Maru's South American route called at Los Angeles, and the archive reads the two records as one voyage, though the dates the two indexes give have not been reconciled.
