Aleksander Halperson died in Shanghai on 13 May 1944 (20 Iyar 5704) and was buried in the Baikal Road Jewish cemetery, according to the list of Polish Jewish refugees from Vilna via Kobe buried there, now in the Arolsen Archives, which enters him as Alex. Halperson, born 17 April 1905; the register's compiled age of 35 and the Kobe list's 36 agree, and the name occurs once on the register. He had registered with the Polish consulate in Shanghai.
