  Line 5 of the sheet: WLADYSLAW LICHTENBAUM, 54, single, LAWYER, Polish, Hebrew, born at Warsaw, able to read and write English, Polish and German. The compiled register gives this line as a lawyer aged 54 — the given name, the surname, the age and the trade all agree, and the two records were made nine decades apart from different sides of the journey. He was DETAINED on arrival with every other passenger on the sheet, and identified the next day. Travelling with him on line 6 was Mieczyslaw Lichtenbaum, 51, a clerk born at Kuron, who has no line of his own on Sugihara's register.
