Where this comes from
Aleksander B. Skotnicki, "Dr Szymon Feldblum – krakowski adwokat, społecznik i syjonista" (Dr Szymon Feldblum: Kraków advocate, social activist and Zionist), Głos Prawa. Przegląd Prawniczy Allerhanda, vol. 3, no. 1 (5), 2020. A biography… Aleksander Skotnicki's biography in Głos Prawa (2020) is of Dr Szymon Feldblum, a Kraków advocate born there on 15 July 1882, married since 1917 to Róża, née Goldberger. It says the family reached Wilno in the winter of 1939, owed their rescue to Sugihara at Kaunas, left Wilno in December 1940 and at Moscow turned for Palestine instead of Japan, reaching Haifa by way of Odessa, Istanbul, Syria and Lebanon. The register has Szymon and Roza Feldblum on consecutive lines, both written on 30 July 1940, and no other Feldblum apart from the repeated line No. 2002. By the article, Szymon Feldblum died in Tel Aviv-Jaffa on 28 July 1956; Skotnicki's source for this is the couple's son, Igo Feldblum. Found for the archive by David Rosen. One thing is unsettled: the list compiled by George Bluman and Akira Kitade marks No. 285 as a child, and the lawyer of the article was born in 1882. Until a record from 1940 giving ages settles it, this is recorded as a lead and not as an identification.
