The manifest of the President Cleveland, which sailed from Kobe on 10 October 1940 and reached San Francisco on the 25th, lists Pranas Kontautas, aged 37, married, a house painter, a Lithuanian subject speaking Lithuanian and English, who had lived in the United States from 1926 until 1 July 1939 and was returning to his wife, Mary Nortin Kontautas, at 623 West 113th Street, New York. The age fits the one recorded for this visa holder, and the trade is the register's. The visa column of his line was not legible on the copy read.
