The surname is the register's and rare on it, and the given name is close but not the same; a lead, not an identification.

  The manifest of the President Cleveland, Kobe 10 October 1940 to San Francisco 25 October, lists Isaac Jacob Toker, aged 33, married, a rabbi, a British subject of Palestine born at Joniškis in Lithuania, speaking Hebrew and English, with a non-preference immigration visa issued at Kaunas on 17 August 1940; he had lived in the United States from 1930 to 16 August 1935 at Cleveland, and was going to the Talmudical Academy of Baltimore, which the inspector noted had engaged him as a teacher. With him was his wife Rachil, aged 21, born at Užventis, with the next visa number from Kaunas. The age fits the one recorded for this visa holder, the wife's name and age are the ones the compilers give, and the Kaunas visa is from the week of his Sugihara visa. The two children the compilers list were not aboard.
