The 1950 United States census (US National Archives, 1950census.archives.gov) In April 1950 the United States census found her in Brooklyn, aged 64, born in Poland, with her husband, a rabbi, and her grown children, among them Esther and Samuel who had crossed the Pacific with her in 1941 (National Archives, 1950 census, enumeration district 24-3402, sheets 12–13).
Manifest of alien passengers, M.S. Kamakura Maru, sailing from Yokohama 28 June 1941, arrived San Francisco date not read (US National Archives, M1410, film 370; read on FamilySearch's copy) The Kamakura Maru's manifest, Yokohama to San Francisco in June 1941 (US National Archives, read on FamilySearch's copy), lists Chana Rabinowicz, 56, born in Izabelino and last living in Kaunas, with three of her children, going to her husband Faitel Rabinowicz in St. Paul, Minnesota. The archive takes this as hers because the name appears once on Sugihara's list and the voyage fits the route; the compilers record her age as 54, the list gives 56.
