The National Archives' San Francisco passenger list (FamilySearch's copy) shows Israel Sadowski, a 64-year-old journalist born in Wiłkomierz, sailing from Yokohama on the Asama Maru in February 1941 on an American business visa issued in Tokyo, to join his brother in New York; a later note on the list records that he was re-admitted for permanent residence at Buffalo in April 1945.
