This is a Japanese transit visa stamp issued at the Consulate of Japan in Kaunas, Lithuania, dated August 21, 1940. It permits the journey through Japan to Surinam, Curacao and other Netherlands colonies. The document bears the Consulate du Japon a Kaunas seal and the signature of the acting consul Chiune Sugihara.
