The register's compiled line gives 1912, and the two agree. The name occurs once on the register, and a Polish-born passenger landing at Seattle in 1940 fits the route through Japan, so the entry is taken as this person's under the archive's rule of 19 September 2026 for records from the route.

  The manifest sheet itself has him on the Heian Maru, which sailed from Kobe on 16 October 1940 and reached Seattle on the 31st: Emanuel Pat, aged 28 years and 8 months, married, a physician, born at Białystok, last residence Kaunas, on a Polish passport and an American non-immigrant visa, No. 26, with his wife Bruncha (No. 189) and his sister Noema (No. 1832) on the lines beside him. The inspector's later note says he was readmitted at Niagara Falls, New York, on 12 October 1942 for permanent residence, the usual way a visitor's visa was turned into an immigrant's. The age, the occupation and the family agree with the register's compiled line.
