  Rubin Kusznir died in Shanghai on 17 July 1945 (7 Av 5705) and was buried the next day in the Baikal Road Jewish cemetery, according to the list of Polish Jewish refugees from Vilna via Kobe buried there, now in the Arolsen Archives. The list gives his birth date as 18 September 1894, the year the Vilna and Kobe lists give for him, and the name occurs once on the register. The next line of the same list is his son: Icchok Kusznir, born 5 July 1922 — the Icchok Jakub, aged 18, whom the register's compilers record on this line — died the same day and was buried beside him.
