A Japanese transit visa was issued in Kaunas on 19 August 1940 by the Japanese consulate, permitting travel through Japan to Surinam, Curacao and other Netherlands' colonies. The Soviet exit/transit visa numbered 114592/114593 was granted to Zarah Vargaftik with his wife Nauma Vargaftik and a child, for transit through the USSR via Vladivostok. Red Japanese entry-permit stamps show admission dated Showa 15 (1940), Fukui Prefecture.
