This is a Lithuanian 'Leidimas / Sauf-Conduit' (safe conduct document in lieu of a foreign passport) issued to Mendel Mozes, born 28 February 1885 in Dzialoszyn in the Lodz district, a civil servant (fonctionnaire) domiciled in Vilnius. He was accompanied by his wife Chaja-Sura (born 19 March 1899), daughter Dorota (born 1927), and son Samuel (born 1923). The document was valid for all countries and dated January/July 1940 in Vilnius.
