Roguski Stefan received transit visa no. 1896 at the Japanese consulate in Kaunas on 17 August 1940.
This image, titled 'The Angel of Curacao', depicts a Curacao visa document issued by the Dutch Consulate (Le Consulat des Pays-Bas) at Kaunas, signed by Jan Zwartendijk. The document (No. 1896) states that no visa is required for admission to Curacao, Surinam, and other Dutch possessions in America. A related handwritten note references Curacao and Surinam, dated 24 July, and is stamped Kaunas. A yellow 'Jude' star and prisoner-of-war mail markings (Kriegsgefangenenpost/Postkarte) appear in the collage.
