The HIAS Shanghai registration (Arolsen Archives, 3.1.1.3, unit 19532) lists Henryk Pinkus, a merchant born on 16 July 1892 in Warsaw, and his wife Lea, born on 5 March 1902, who reached Shanghai from Lithuania by way of Siberia in August 1941. The list reads: entry 5694, Arolsen 3.1.1.3/78797311 (unit 19532): "PINKUS Henryk, 16.7.92 Warsaw, Pol., merchant; wife: Lea, 5.3.02 [Warsaw]; Aug. 1941 from Lith., via Siberia".
