The register's compiled line gives 1886, and the two are 3 years apart. The name occurs once on the register, and a passenger born in Poland landing at Seattle in 1941 fits the route through Japan, so the entry is taken as this person's under the archive's rule of 19 September 2026 for records from the route.

  The manifest sheet itself has the family on the Hikawa Maru, which sailed from Yokohama on 13 February 1941 and reached Seattle on the 25th: Szlama Fajwys Gilinski, aged 52, married, a teacher, Polish, born at Łyngmiany, with his wife Liba, 38, born at Warsaw, and their son Viktor, 6, born at Warsaw, last residence Kaunas, on American non-immigrant visas Nos. 18 and 19 issued at Kaunas on 22 July 1940. The inspector's later notes extend their stay to August 1943 and record their admission for permanent residence afterwards. The name and the age agree with the register's compiled line.
