The register's compiled line gives 1893. The National Archives' passenger list of the Tatuta Maru (FamilySearch's copy) records Professor Władysław-Józef Szatensztejn, born in Warsaw and last living in Vilnius, landing at San Francisco in November 1940 with his wife Anna and their two children, on US transit visas issued in Moscow. He had visited New York once before, in the autumn of 1936. The title of professor and the children are what the register's compilers recorded for him.
