  HELENA MOSEWICKA — the museum holds her own travel document. The Museum of Jewish Heritage's object 298.96 is her 'document in lieu of a passport', dated 20 November 1939, with her photograph, entries in Polish and French, and inside it the visas of her whole journey — Vilna, Kobe, Sosua in the Dominican Republic, and at last the United States — including a SUGIHARA VISA STAMP. It was given to the museum by WANDA GLASS, her daughter. Her husband EKUSIEL died in 1937; they had lived in Warsaw. She went to Vilna in 1940 with her daughter and son-in-law, where they learned of the visas to Japan.
