  MARIAN GLASS, of this line, was Helena Mosewicka's son-in-law (she is No. 164) and the husband of Wanda, No. 165 — the register's own note already reads 'husband of #165', 28, lawyer, destination the Dominican Republic. The Museum of Jewish Heritage's catalogue adds what the ledger could not: that he married Wanda in 1934, that after the invasion of 1939 he was set to digging trenches outside Warsaw, and that he then met a man with a taxi who helped make the family's escape possible. The family reached Kobe, went on to Sosua in the Dominican Republic, and left for the United States after Pearl Harbor.
