  FamilySearch's index of the Seattle passenger lists, read by the archive on 20 September 2026, has Mieczyslaw Glass, born about 1920 in Poland, arriving at Seattle in 1941. The register's compiled line gives 1920, and the two agree. The register carries 2 lines of this name (Nos. 155, 159); only this line's age fits, but the archive's rule asks for a name that occurs once, so this is held as a lead. A Polish-born passenger landing at Seattle in 1941 fits the route through Japan, which is why it is a strong lead and not yet a corroboration.
