HaBoker, HaTzofe, Omer and Haaretz, 19 September 1941 (National Library of Israel, Historical Jewish Press) A possible record, not yet confirmed as this person: a Gudes — Szymel in one printing, Shmuel in another — is on the list of Polish refugees in Bombay bound for Palestine printed by the Tel Aviv papers on 19 September 1941, and on the India roll of February 1942 (National Library of Israel, Historical Jewish Press). The given name differs between the printings, so it is shown as a lead for Simon Gudes.
