  A Shlomo Kapel of the Lublin yeshiva is on the memorial list in Rabbi Chuna (Elchonon Yosef) Hertzman's Mirer yeshive in golus (Brooklyn, 1950), p. 5, as having died in Shanghai on the eve of Sukkot 5706 (September 1945). This entry's Szloma Koppel was a Mir student registered at the Polish consulate in Shanghai, and whether they are the same man is not settled. Under the archive's rule of 19 September 2026 a name on a list of the Sugihara refugees' own route counts as a corroboration when the full name occurs once on the register and the record's place and date fit the route; all three hold here, and the line is attached on that basis.
