The Kobe community's list of refugees and their relatives abroad has Machel Kac, born in 1914 at Lodz. The Evening Post of Wellington, 23 June 1949, read on Papers Past on 20 October 2026, reports a Supreme Court claim by a company against Machel Kac, an industrial chemist, over chemical formulae, with Kac asking the court to order the directors to take up shares. Two things tie the report to him: the full name as the Kobe register spells it, which occurs once on the register, and the trade, a chemical engineer on the ledger. The report gives no age or birthplace.
