FamilySearch's index of the 1950 census, read on 24 October 2026, has Jacob Wertans, aged 59 and born in Poland, a proprietor in the importing of industrial machinery, living in New York City on 2 April 1950 with his wife, Nudzif (Judyf), aged 42 and born in Poland, and a daughter. The name, the birth year within a year of the ledger's 17 August 1890, the wife's given name and age, and the daughter agree with the Shanghai consulate ledger and the register's own husband and wife, so the entry is taken as this family.
