Archive note, 30 August 2026 — a correction to the Kobe attributions. Thirteen register entries had been matched to two lines each of the Kobe refugee register, on the strength of a similar surname. In seven cases the two lines described… This entry had been given two Kobe lines. The one that remains is entry 1, on page 10: ABRAMOWICZ Gersz, with a sister R. Steinberg at 3451 Giles Place, the Bronx, and a sister C. Abrams at 82 West 12th Street. The other, a merchant of thirty-nine from Lodz, has been removed.
