Archive note, 30 August 2026 — a correction to the Kobe attributions. Thirteen register entries had been matched to two lines each of the Kobe refugee register, on the strength of a similar surname. In seven cases the two lines described… This entry had been given two Kobe lines. The one that remains is entry 163, on page 16: LICHTIGER Samuel, Polish, brother of Max Lichtiger of 245 East 178th Street, the Bronx. The other, a line for a man born 1915 at Brzesc, has been removed.
