  The manifest of the President Cleveland, Kobe 10 October 1940 to San Francisco 25 October, lists Zacharjasz Buchalcew, aged 41, married, a bank clerk, Polish, born at Cherkasy in Russia, with his wife Teofila, 40, and daughter Elżbieta, 16, a student, both born at Warsaw, their last residence Wilno, on three consecutive immigration visas issued at Kaunas on 11 July 1940; they were going to Teofila's sister, Mrs Zinta, at 91 Central Park West, New York, and named a friend, D. Litchenbaum of Warsaw, as their contact at home. The three ages are exactly those the compilers recorded for this visa holder, his wife and child, and the trade is the register's.
