  FamilySearch's index of the San Francisco passenger lists, read by the archive on 20 September 2026, has Abram Szlomowicz, born about 1920 in Poland, arriving at San Francisco in 1946 on the General M. C. Meigs. The register carries two lines of this name, Nos. 1325 and 1334, both Mir yeshiva students aged 20; which of them sailed cannot be said from the index, so this is shown as a lead on both. The ship's manifest heading says she sailed from Shanghai, and a passenger born in Poland landing at San Francisco in 1946 from Shanghai is the route's end: the refugees who waited out the war there. So the entry is taken as this person's under the archive's rule of 19 September 2026 for records from the route. The sheet is NARA microfilm publication M1410, film 384, image 454, read by the archive on 20 September 2026.

The archive reads No. 1334 as Efraim, the typist having repeated his brother's given name, and keeps each brother's records on his own page (owner's ruling of 23 October 2026, correcting the same day's reading of the two lines as one man).
