Where this comes from
HIAS Shanghai lists of refugees leaving for overseas, 1946–1949 — Arolsen Archives, Bad Arolsen, collection 3.1.1.3, unit 19613. A page may be shown singly with this citation; Arolsen is told where it appears. A HIAS list of refugees leaving Shanghai in the winter of 1946–47 (Arolsen Archives, 3.1.1.3, unit 19613) names Lejzor Frajberger, Polish, of 723 Point Road, bound for the United States. The list gives no date of birth; the archive takes it as his because it is a HIAS list of the Shanghai refugees, his full name occurs once on the register, and the place and date fit the route he is recorded as taking. The list reads: "105 FRAJBERGER Lejzor, P, 723 Point Rd., U.S.A." The page carries no heading of its own; it appears to belong to the supplementary list of people who left between 15 December 1946 and 24 January 1947, so the date of his departure is not certain.
