  FamilySearch's index of the San Francisco passenger lists, read on 24 October 2026, has Salomon Taraszczanski, aged 45 and born in Russia about 1896, arriving at San Francisco in 1941 on the Asama Maru. The Kobe community's list of departures has him leaving Yokohama on the Asama Maru in April 1941 for the USA. The surname occurs twice on the register, as husband and wife, the birthplace agrees with the Kobe register (Kremenchug, in Russia) and the birth year is within two years, so the entry is taken as this man. FamilySearch's index of the 1942 draft registration has a Salomon Taraszczanski of New York City, born 6 October 1895, his own employer.
